Random November Goodies

*The end of soccer season.  Team party and pictures!

*School pictures came home.  Here's Luke's official 1st grade picture.  He's having a great year.  This kid loves going to school, likes Mrs. Santiago, and gets along great with kids in his class.  He can't get enough when it comes to math and spelling and has a crush on Abigail.  The only thing he detests when it comes to school is going to art.  He has it once a week on Thursdays and acts like it is torture day.

* Ella has been obsessed with all things cooking and baking.  She is always asking to use my phone to watch cooking shows on YouTube, and insists on helping me when I make things.  She brought me these delicious play-doh cookies one day :)

She was wanting to make her own YouTube cooking show one day, so I filmed it with my phone.  Pretty cutie.  I helped her measure the oil and took them out of the oven, but she did everything else.  Cracked the eggs, mixed the batter, cut them up after they had cooled, the whole bit.  She uses lots of adjectives while she's baking.  I love it.  "ooh, isn't this just the nicest color?"  "This is just lovely."  "Isn't this nice?"  You'd think you were listening to a real cooking show.  Maybe she has watched too many?  She was so cute and proud of herself though!  They were tasty.  She's awesome :)

* Ella started violin lessons.  I have yet to take pictures, but she has been learning different positions and correct posture on a foamalin.  haha... I didn't know such things existed.  It's cutie and foam and blue.  She's hoping to graduate to the real instrument soon!

*Jake busted his rear and got another 100 on his PT test.  That boy can go for a long time without working out, but still kicks trash when he needs to.  November also meant that Jake has been in the bishopric for over a year now.  You'd think I'd be used to getting myself and the kids all ready for church and there in time by now, but nope.  Usually we're late.  Some things never change.

*Luke has been wanting to play Minecraft whenever I let him play Xbox or my phone.  Ella loves watching him do his thing.  He was in heaven when we went to Disney Paris over Thanksgiving break, which happened to be the time and location of Minecon (minecraft convention).  Geek Paradise.  More on that coming in the Disney post.

*Luke brought a paper turkey home from school.   He had to disguise it as something else so it wouldn't get eaten on Thanksgiving.   We got to use my seemingly useless stash of big puffy pipe cleaners.   I thought it turned out cutie.

*This little one grew and grew, and kept me busy.  Always makes me a little sad when it's time to box up the little tiny sized clothes!   We still can't get enough of this new little person.

Veterans Day in London.

Callie went on her first tube ride on Veterans Day.  I hate that the tube is so full of people and so dirty, so I had been avoiding it with our new baby.  Finally ready to take on the stinky train with my littlest cutie, we went to the British Museum and then to browse the fabulous Hamley's toy store.  It was worth the train ride.  Although the kids didn't like the museum as much as Jake and I did (guess mummies that don't move or do anything are boring to them) they loved Hamleys.  Callie did great in the carrier.  Some of our little outing...
On the tube!

And at the museum.  Ella was tired of walking.

They have so many cool things from ancient Egypt here.  I want to go to Egypt one day.

Some of the statues looked like StarWars characters.  ha.

One of the most famous things at the British Museum... The Rosetta Stone.

Boss Mummies.

And there are lots of mummified animals.  Cutie cats.

By this point they were ready to go to the toy store.

Now on to Regent Street to visit Hamley's.  Coolest toy store ever.  There are toy demos going on everywhere, so it's entertaining to walk around for a few hours!

The Royal Family.  Lego edition.  :)

Fun day!
The city is a fun place to be.  Especially during the holiday season!

My Early Birds

These two wake me up every. single. morning.  Sometimes WAY before it's time to get up for the day.  Luke loves to sleep in, but not these girls!  At least they're usually happy little snuggle bugs.  This particular morning in November, Ella was showing Callie some games on the phone.  Cutie sisters.

Halloween 2012. A cupcake, a skeleton, an almost 4 mo-old cutie, and a sumo wrestler.

Ahh, catching up again!  For 2013 I'm going to try to get back to at least weekly posts on here.  Anyway, this year Luke was a skeleton, Ella was a cupcake, and Callie was cute just being herself :)  We had our second annual Upper Heyford Halloween potluck before the trick-or-treating madness started here in Liberty Village.  The Listellos hosted in their garage this time around.  We stuffed ourselves on tasty cornbread, chile, and Stacy's delicious cookies before heading out to trick or treat.  Ella took off with her little buddies and Amelia's grandma, so Jake and I followed Luke and his friends around.
Before heading out of the house for fun that night...
 Love these cuties!

Callie likes to hang with Stephanie, the whoopie cushion.  It was cold outside, so baby was her bundled self for Halloween :)

Cute buddies.  Drew, Luke, Cole, and Jack.

Check out this dog.

Crowds this year in our neighborhood were just as crazy as last year.  It's impossible to buy enough candy.

Oh, and I almost forgot.  Jake dressed up when we went to his work Halloween party.  He wasn't up for wearing it on Halloween, but here he was (a little blurry on the phone) but sumo style at the dental clinic.  I kept looking online to find a costume that I wanted to order, and never ordered in time.  Maybe I'll dress up next year!

 'till next year, Adiós Halloween!
