And then, school FINALLY was out for summer!

British schools got out for summer holiday July 22.
I snapped a picture of Luke and his reception teacher, Mr. Stratford, on the last day of school.

We have really liked Mr. Stratford.  Luke learned so much this past year!  Going to school here has been a great experience.  He'll start Kindergarten on Sept. 6 on base.  After a lot of going back and forth on whether to keep him at the same British primary school or to put him in elementary school on base, we decided on putting him in American kindergarten.  We're looking forward to having him home with us on the American holidays, and when Jake has family days off work!  We'll be able to do quite a bit more traveling this way.  Not to mention the school is a short walk from our house.  I'm hoping he won't be too bored.  British schools are way ahead of those in the States.  During the early school years anyway.  I guess we'll see how it goes!

He is so cute! Poor little guy doesn't get a very long summer. Glad to hear that you won't live far from the school though.
