When we took Luke to see Horton Hears a Who he FREAKED OUT when the preview for Ice Age 3 came on. really. I've never heard him scream like that. This boy is never scared of things. This wasn't a crying sort of scream... more like I'm scared-for-my-life scared scream that didn't end until the preview was over. His little body was totally shaking. So sad. At the theater, he relaxed soon after the preview was over. For those who haven't seen this movie trailer, here it is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44t77yLtudE&feature=relatedWe thought maybe the loud theater sound system freaked him out. Nope. We can't figure out what is so scary about this except for maybe he's afraid of falling?? Or maybe the squirrel is somehow scary? Anyway, we sort of forgot about that until yesterday. We were watching movie trailers on the computer and came across Ice Age 3 again. Luke started screaming hysterically when it came on. Freaked out just like at the movie theater. Screaming, shaking, covering his eyes, everything. He wouldn't even come near the computer for the rest of the day (and he had only watched the first little bit of said preview). Jake asked him about the scary squirrel movie before bed last night and he started crying and freaking out yet again. We're going to be avoiding Ice Age now. Why is it so terrifying??...

oh my goodness, poor thing! I can't imagine what it could be... does he hate the snow? Cold? Ice? But then again, The Land Before Time freaked me out and I wouldn't watch it. It scared me that they were separated from their parents. Hated it.
OMG--that is so weird cause my kids LOVE the squirrel!!! They laugh in hysterics at him...Austin too! Poor Luke...Austin did have a weird reaction a few months ago to an Elmo episode when there was a "Big Bd Wolf" on...he totally lost it! I played it again the other day and it didn't bug him. Maybe by the time Ice Age 3 comes out (Summer 09--serously, why on earth are the already promoting it?) he'll like it!
that is so sad!? holy cow, I don't know what could give him such greif... other than the fact that the squirrel is pretty terrifying! :)
when do you guys find out what you're having??? aren't we getting close??
When Ross was 4 months old, a Tarzan yell would set him off bawling. 100% of the time. Which was a fun party trick.
Oh, come on. You know one with a bow in its hair would be so fun.
